Babies’ skin is particularly delicate and reacts sensitively to external factors. That’s why our baby collection features carefully selected, skin-friendly natural fibers—such as organic cotton and organic merino wool—and is crafted using especially gentle manufacturing processes.
In addition, we deliberately produce many of our styles without any additional bleaching or dyeing processes. For a comfortable feel right from the start.

Little ones especially need clothes that keep them comfortable from head to toe. Like these sets featuring a onesie and a hat. Made from breathable organic wool terry and certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
So you don’t buy too much, but only what your baby really needs: Download our hospital bag checklist as a PDF.

Perfect for those first outings: 100% natural fibers ensure a comfortable fit. Just like the new onesies and jackets made from organic cotton and organic merino wool.
Out love for a child, an idea was born in 1976 that was far ahead of its time. While synthetic fibers dominated the fashion market, Dorothea and Heinz Hess deliberately founded their mail-order business against the trend—and thus became pioneers of natural fashion. Their vision: clothing produced in harmony with nature as a healthier alternative to synthetic materials.
Since natural products were hardly available, they were not willing to compromise. Instead, they were one of the first fashion companies to take responsibility for the entire supply chain together with their partners – from the cultivation of the fibers to the finished garment. And with groundbreaking steps such as the initiation of the world's first organic cotton cultivation project, they repeatedly demonstrated the courage to break new ground.
In doing so, they laid the foundation for a partnership of equals that has enabled us to set new ecological and social standards for the industry as a pioneer in sustainable fashion for 50 years. A history we look back on with gratitude and pride. And one that leads us into the future with the same passion.
